Creative Stitch Studio

a place to pursue your hobby with others and develop your interests and skills in an inspiring studio environment

Welcome to Creative Stitch Studio

Following the sad death of Pauline Parker in December 2017, her family are aiming to keep the studio open as a venue for 'stitchers' to work in a friendly social setting, where resources are available to provide inspiration and encouragement for all.

Since opening the studio in 2010, Pauline has established a pleasant workspace with enough room for up to eight people. There is a wealth of equipment and resources that can be used for a wide range of textile and art activities, and a library of books available for use at the studio.

For the immediate future:

  • 'Diversity Creative Stitchers' exhibiting group will continue to hold meetings and group sessions at the studio.
  • Christine Ogden, who was assisting Pauline during last year, is looking after the studio, and hosting a weekly 'Social Stitching' group session on most Fridays (Click on the Social Stitching tab above for details).
  • We aim to arrange workshops, hosted by visiting artists and craft-workers. These will be advertised on our website and by occasional email announcements. Prices will be vary accordingly.

Christine will look after bookings for all sessions, with my support as needed.

** Please note that Chistine is hard of hearing, so please communicate via email and/or text message to her phone **
